The monastery of Haghpat, founded by Queen Khosrovanush (wife of the Armenian King Ashot III) in AD 976.
Sanahin used to be the administrative centre and family burial place of the Kyurikyan Bagratids (10th and 11th centuries), as well as the Episcopal residence for the diocese (until the 11th century).
The Kobayr Monastery, founded in the 12th century, is set on a cliff overlooking the Debed River, the monastery is distinguished by its beautiful frescoes, impressive rock-cut architecture, and scenic surroundings. It's often less crowded, providing a tranquil environment to explore its medieval structures.
Dsegh is a charming village famous for its picturesque landscapes and historical significance. It is the birthplace of the famous Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan. While in Dsegh, you can visit the Tumanyan Memorial Museum and walk through the village's lush green surroundings.
