In the morning we will drive through the Ararat valley to Mount Tezhkar (1735 m), the relative height is about 400 m.n11:00 We will start the ascent from the village of Tigranashen, in good weather from the top we will be able to see Mount Ararat, and the surrounding mountain ranges.
We will descend from the top and go to the wine capital of Armenia Areni. Tourists will have the opportunity to taste wine and dine in a restaurant.
After a tasty dinner we will go to the Noravank monastery (XIII-XIV centuries), located among the red rocks in the depths of the Gnishik gorge.
After visiting the monastery, the participants of the hike will go to the village of Yeghegis.
The participants will start hiking to the Smbataberd fortress, which was built in the 5th century (6km, 3.5-4 hours) Smbataberd fortress is one of the well-preserved fortresses of Armenia, the most beautiful landscape opens from the fortress on the gorge of the Yeghegis River.
The participants of the hike will descend to the village of Artabuynk, after which they will continue their way to Lake Sevan through the Vardenyats pass, where the medieval Orbelyan (Selim) Caravanserai has been preserved.nMoving through the pass will come to Lake Sevan, to the city of Martuni, where we will have lunch in a restaurant.
After lunch we will drive to the city of Dilijan, where we will stay in a guest house. Dinner and overnight at the guest house.
Trip to Yenokavan settlement. From there we start hiking along the Khachaghbyur (Lastiver) gorge (7 km, the total time of the hike with rest will take about 6 hours). In the gorge, participants will see caves with pre-Christian images, the Anapat camp, where we will brew and drink fragrant warm tea on a fire. We will also see the waterfall. nLunch at the camp.
After hiking in the gorge, we will head back to Dilijan. Dinner. Overnight at the guest house.
Trip to the village Hovk. From there we begin our hike to the Maiden's Fortress. According to legend, Tamerlane's soldiers saw a beautiful girl in the fortress and stole her from the fortress, after which the girl fled back to the fortress. An enraged Tamerlane blocks the water that enters the fortress, besieges the fortress and wins. The beauty throws herself out of the fortress into the gorge, so as not to be captured by him, in her honor the fortress is called Maiden.
Trip to Dilijan. Lunch at a restaurant. The participants of the hike will be able to walk around the city center, see the famous Mimino monument, the marble monument to the 50th anniversary of the Armenian SSR, etc. The final stop will be in the city of Vanadzor, the third largest city in Armenia. Dinner. Overnight at the guest house.
A trip to the village of Haghpat.nStart of the hike to the Kayan Berd fortress (1233).
After the hike, the participants of the tour will go to Haghpat Monastery (X century). Haghpat Monastery was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1996.
After lunch, the tourists will leave for Yerevan. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel
