Monastery Khor Virap is where Grigor Luisavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was imprisoned for 13 years before curing King Trdat III of a disease. This caused the adoption of Christianity in Armenia in the year 301.
The monastery Noravank dates back to XIIIu2014XIV centuries.
You have an opportunity to taste Armenian wine in Areni winery.
This caravanserai offered hospitality to travelers along the highway crossing the Selim mountains. This building is an excellent example of Armenian architecture in the Middle Ages.
The monastery Hayravank dates back to the 9th-12th centuries. The three main constructions of the monastery are the church, the chapel and a gavit.
