Overview

For us, snowshoeing isn’t about rushing to the top. It’s about getting outside, enjoying the winter landscape and having a good time along the way. We keep our groups small, choose the route based on the best conditions that day, and take time for photos, stories and a cozy break around the fire with something warm to drink.

You’ll explore Lofoten with a local guide who knows the area – at a relaxed pace and with plenty of time to simply enjoy being out in the snow.

Itinerary

  • We meet at our Hooked on Lofoten office in Kabelvu00e5g, where youu2019ll meet your guide and the rest of the group. From here, we get into our van and drive together to the starting point of the dayu2019s snowshoe hike. The drive is short, usually no more than 10u201315 minutes and often less.

  • Once we arrive, your guide will help you put on the snowshoes and give you a quick introduction before we set off. We hike through the snowy landscape towards a beautiful viewpoint, with the route chosen according to the conditions that day.nnAlong the way, we stop for a cozy break and, when conditions allow, light a small campfire. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee before putting the snowshoes back on and making our way back to the van.

  • After the snowshoe hike, we return to the van and drive back to our Hooked on Lofoten office at Sju00f8gata 3 in Kabelvu00e5g, where the tour ends.
