Batumi city and municipality in Georgia, is the administrative center of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Batumi is the second most populous city in Georgia, a large international port on the southeastern coast of the Black Sea, an important industrial, cultural and tourist center in Georgia.

Petra fortress is military-strategic and trade-economic location, in the 6th century, on the order of the Byzantine emperor Justinian , John Strategos built a castle in the 6th century on the site of this ancient settlement of Lazes , which was named “Justinian’s city” in honor of this emperor
