Traveling in a specially adapted vehicle, you will journey along scenic rainforest roads that wind through multiple ecosystems, offering excellent wildlife-viewing opportunities without strenuous hiking.nAs you head toward the Matapalo area, keep your eyes on the treetops and forest edges. Passengers must arrive at the domestic terminal at Juan Santamaru00eda International Airport. The airline operating the flight is Sansa. Please note that the transfer from San Josu00e9 hotels to the domestic terminal is not included, therefore passengers must make their own way to the terminal.
Passengers must be at the terminal one hour prior to departure for check-in.
We will inform Botanika Hotel of the arrival time and the hotel staff will be waiting for the passengers on the airstrip with a sign displaying their name.
The transfer takes approximately 3 mins, as the hotel is located very close to the domestic terminal in Puerto Jimu00e9nez.
At departure the hotel will transfer the passengers to the Puerto Jimu00e9nez airstrip one hour before the flight and our services will conclude upon arrival in San Josu00e9.
This is a low-impact, safari-style tour conducted primarily from a comfortable vehicle with short stops for observation and photography. Walking is minimal and on mostly flat terrain, making the experience ideal for travelers of all ages and fitness levels, including families and first-time visitors.
Domestic flights operate under specific baggage regulations. Each passenger is allowed: One carry-on bag (up to 10 lbs / 4.5 kg), one checked bag (up to 30 lbs / 13.6 kg). Excess or overweight luggage may incur additional fees and is subject to availability. Soft-sided luggage is strongly recommended for domestic flights.
