Itinerary

  • Transfer from Gondar to Sankabar camp. You can be dropped off 4 hours trek before the campsite to enjoy the views over the escarpment and you are likely to spot large groups of the Gelada monkey. You camp at Sankabar which is at 3250m.

  • in the morning after breakfast start walking to the the longest waternfall in ethiopia and most beautiful jinbar water fall (530 meter )itnis called it takes 2 hours from the camp with undulating trekkingnroutes on the way walking to this point you may spot gelada baboon,nbush back (kind of small dear ) ,klip springer (small antelope),ndifferent birds and of course, marvellous land scapes and annoutstanding views from different angles of the mountains.then, getndrive from the water fall point for about 40 minutes and then afternstart hiking again from 3500masl to 4070 masl up to mount enatyen4070masl and enjoy the best view of the mountain then, walk down tonchennek camp for two hours a long the edge of the scarpment with bestnscenerys .nchennek camp is 3620masl.

  • after breakfast either you can drive back to Gondar ealy to visit thencastle or you can ascend (walk up ) to mount buihit 2nd highestnpoint of ethiopia 4430masl 5 hours walk from the base camp and to seenthe endemic walia ibex (fascinating wild got species no where elsenfound in the world but, only here ) then after drive back to Gondar.

  • after breakfast either you can drive back to Gondar ealy to visit thencastle or you can ascend (walk up ) to mount Bwahit 2nd highestnpoint of ethiopia 4430masl 5 hours walk from the base camp and to seenthe endemic walia ibex (fascinating wild got species no where elsenfound in the world but, only here ) then after drive back to Gondar.
