  • Established in 1845, the Naval Academy is the second oldest of the five US Service academies. Its purpose is to educate midshipmen for service in the officer corps of the US Navy and US Marine Corps. Its a National Historic Landmark.

  • The Maryland State House is the oldest US state capitol in continuous legislative use, dating to 1772. In 1783 and 1784 it served as the capitol building of the US Congress of the Confederation and it is where the formal end of the American Revolutionary war occurred.

  • Built between 1769-1774, this historic house is one of the first brick three story Georgian mansions to be built in the 13 colonies and is one of the best examples of the style. Wait until you hear about its rich history

  • Lunch stop and shopping in the Annapolis Historic District

  • One of the oldest institutions of higher learning in the US, it received a collegiate charter in 1784. It was to be the successor institution of King William's School, a prepatory school which was founded in 1696.

  • Very scenic area of Annapolis. Eastport is sandwiched between Spa Creek, across from historic Annapolis, and Back Creek. Eastport has been referred to as the working man's side of Annapolis. Eastport was settled in 1665 and remained mostly farmland until the 1800s. With the establishment of the U.S. Naval Academy in 1845, the area was developed to house workers.

  • Scenic view of Annapolis. Worth the stop on your way into or out of Annapolis. You should take the time to read all of the plaques, especially the one calling out Maryland's contributions to the war effort
