Itinerary

  • First, we visit the Cultural & Heritage Center in Derynia to watch a short film exhibiting Famagusta before the invasion. Then we get on the roof of the center to have a closer look on Famagusta over the border (binoculars provided). You can have a coffee or buy refreshments in the center.

  • We commence by seeing Famagusta as we see it today; an abandoned Ghost Town. After crossing the border we will drive along the fence which surrounds this once glamorous city, before arriving on its renowned sandy beach where we view the deserted hotels up close along its coast.nnWe then continue by circling the moat of the gothic city where the castle walls tower over us and finally enter inside and tour the city within the walls where 365 churches and cathedrals which once stood witness to centuries of history gone by. Free time will be given to walk around the city to explore things further or sit back and enjoy a coffee and their famous sweets.

  • Stroll through the street of the timeless abandoned hotels and once prestige properties and shopfronts all the way down to the Golden sand shore and back
