Next, we cruise to the iconic turtle-shaped islet of Marathonisi, located at the heart of the bay. As part of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, the island plays a vital role in the conservation of sea turtles.
Our cruise begins in the calm, shallow waters of Laganas Bay, one of the most important habitats of the endangered Caretta caretta loggerhead turtles. As we gently navigate this protected area, we keep watch for turtles surfacing naturally in their environment.
