Visit the Monastery of Agios Gerasimos, the largest and the most important of all the island of Kefalonia. nAgios Gerasimos is in fact the patron saint of the island and on the day of his feast the monastery is filled with pilgrims.nLocated on the heights of Kefalonia, at the end of a road protected by large trees, there is the Monastery of Agios Gerasimos, preceded by an imposing portico with a bell tower. It is a majestic pink brick building built according to the Byzantine architectural tradition.
This impressive cave is over 100 million years old. Nature created countless stalactites and stalagmites were you will have the opportunity to walk inside.
Visitors reach the lake by an underground tunnel and have the opportunity to explore it with a boat and a guide. Therefore, they can admire this unique natural work of sculpture created by the stalactites and the crystal blue-green color of the waters.
