Itinerary

  • You will be picked up by your very own chauffeur guide from Airport or your beach hotel and transferred to Kitulgala. On arrival in the hotel, spend the day at leisure relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities.

  • After a leisurely breakfast, you will experience white-water rafting in Kelani river, one of the most thrilling experiences. This thrilling adventure ride is suitable even for the people who are experimenting it for the first time.

  • The Makandawa Nature Trail in Kitulgala takes you through a pristine lowland rainforest rich in biodiversity and natural beauty. Walking along shaded jungle paths, you will experience towering trees, dense vegetation, and the soothing sounds of birds, insects, and flowing streams. The trail passes natural rock pools, small waterfalls, and riverine forest areas, offering excellent opportunities for nature lovers and photographers.nnThis guided nature walk is ideal for birdwatching, with chances to spot endemic species, butterflies, reptiles, and unique rainforest flora. A local naturalist explains the ecological importance of the forest and traditional uses of plants, making the experience both relaxing and educational. The Makandawa Nature Trail is perfect for travelers seeking a soft adventure and close connection with Sri Lankau2019s rainforest ecosystem.

  • Make a pre-dawn start with a packed breakfast to Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and take a guided walk along the nature trails to a viewpoint known as Worldu2019s End. A variety of wildlife; highland bird species may be encountered.

  • When finished the trek, you will be transferred to your hotel in Ella, a paradise of hills with stunning views.

  • After a restful sleep, explore three iconic attractions in Ella on arrival, Ella gap; Little Adams peak - one of the secondary viewing points & 9 Arch Bridge - one of the iconic bridges in Sri Lanka.

  • After breakfast, you will be driven to start a memorable trekking tour to Bambarakanda Waterfalls. This exciting trekking tour brings you to the highest waterfall of Sri Lanka passing through some small mountain villages and valleys. Bambarakanda is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka with a sheer drop of a 263 meters. The area around Bambarakanda is rich with scenic beauty, rugged terrain,waterfalls, tea fields and cool climate making it an attractive destination for nature lovers. This is not a wide waterfall but drops as a thin line from a rocky outcrop. After the trekking, you will be transferred to your hotel in Belihuloya (Approx. 1 hr. drive). Spend overnight at Tree House Chalets. Your stay is on Half Board basis.

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Colombo for your departure. This marks the end of your memorable journey in Sri Lanka, with plenty of wonderful experiences and lasting memories. We wish you a safe and pleasant flight home.
