Itinerary
The 10 volcanos trail is a full day activity, and itu2019s the most complete hike in Faial. During the activity we get to see a lot of the island. The hike includes the 2 most famous points of interest in Faial: Caldeira, and Capelinhos volcano. In between we will learn about the Azores Native forest and its endemic species, since weu2019ll cross various types of landscape. We start near to the islandu2019s highest point and finish at sea level. The geological interpretation of the island also marks the experience. The 10 volcanos trail travels west, along the Faialu2019s youngest volcanic system.
