Itinerary

• Very early in the morning, we will start the excursion going to the town of Chivay, and have a delicious breakfast upon arrival.

• The tour continues to the Condoru2019s cross (3,800 m.a.s.l.). Here, weu2019ll have the great opportunity to see and admire the incredible Condor flying around.

• Then, we will reach Cabanaconde, the starting point of the trekking.nnArriving to the viewpoints of Pampas de San Miguel (3,300 m), we are going to descend to the depth of the canyon along 4.6 miles (3 hours), until we reach San Juan de Chuccho (2,400 m.a.s.l.). This town is surrounded by beautiful and abundant vegetation.nnHere, we will enjoy a lunch, and we are going to have the chance to learn about local fruit trees and medicinal plants. Later, weu2019re going to have dinner, and spend the night.

• After breakfast, we are going to start a total trek of 2.5 miles, taking uphill and downhill paths, and visiting lovely traditional towns such as Cosu00f1irhua, with the opportunity to admire pre Incan ruins. We will also pass through the town of Malata, where we can see its old Spanish church. Weu2019re going have time for lunch.

• Later, we will descend until reach the Oasis of Sangalle (2,225 m.a.s.l.) to spend the night. Here, you can take a refreshing bath in the pool and enjoy lunch. We can make short tours around the oasis (optional).nnAt night, we will enjoy a delicious dinner, and have time for a well deserve rest.

• The tour starts very early in the morning, with an amazing trek of 3 hours (2.5 miles), ascending the slope of the canyon until we reach the town of Cabanaconde. After having breakfast in this picturesque town, we will take the transport to go to Chivay.

• On the way, we are going to visit the viewpoint of Antahuilque, with amazing landscapes to Inca terraces. Also we will stop by the town of Maca, which stands out for its beautiful colonial church.

• The town of Yanque offers us its hot springs (optional*).

• Then, weu2019re going to the town of Chivay to lunch (optional*). On our way back to Arequipa, we are going to have the opportunity to pass through the National Reserve of Pampa Cau00f1ahuas, home of camelids as alpaca, vicuu00f1a and llamas.nnUpon arrival, we will drop you off two blocks from Plaza de Armas of Arequipa.nnYou have the option to select the transfer to Puno, at the end of the tour on day 3. You will depart from Chivay at 1:00 p.m. and arrive to main square of Puno at 7:00 p.m.

• You should bring comfortable clothes and coat, sunglasses, sunhat, trekking shoes, stick trek, backpack to take personal things, water canteen, towel, toilet paper, small lighflash, toiletries

• The ticket entrance to the Colca Valley should be paid in cash in Peruvian soles.

• The optional activities (*) are not included.

• At the end of the tour, we are going to drop you off two blocks from Plaza de Armas.

• At least 2 people are required to take place this activity.

• If you want to take the transfer to Puno on the last day, please select the correct option when booking. The regular bus will depart from Chivay at 1:00 p.m. and will drop you off at the main square of the city of Puno, arriving at 7:00 p.m. Upon arrival in Puno, you will need to make your own way to your hotel

• If you book the tour with the transfer to Puno included, you can leave your big luggage in a safe place located in the town of Cabanaconde (starting point of the trek) on the first day, and pick it up before arriving to Chivay on the last day. It has an extra cost, paid at the moment, in cash, in local currency (PEN)

• You should be in good physical condition

• Due to the altitude, we recommend a good acclimatization before starting any activity
