Itinerary

  • Visit the ancient Burana Tower, a historical minaret from the Karakhanid period located along the Silk Road. Travelers can explore the archaeological site, see traditional balbal stone statues, climb the tower for panoramic views, and learn about the history of the region from your guide.

  • Drive across Kalmak-Ashuu mountain pass at over 3,400 meters above sea level and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of alpine valleys and remote summer pastures. Stop for photos and short walks while experiencing one of the most scenic routes used by local nomads traveling to Song-Kul Lake.

  • Upon arrival at Song-Kul Lake, enjoy a short horse riding experience along the alpine pastures and lakeshore, guided by local nomads. This is a perfect introduction to traditional Kyrgyz nomadic cultur

  • After breakfast at Song-Kul Lake, drive through the scenic 33 Parrots mountain pass with spectacular panoramic views over the Issyk-Kul region. Stop for a short walk to a hidden mountain waterfall before continuing to Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon to explore its colorful red rock formations shaped by wind and time. Arrival at Issyk-Kul Lake for overnight stay near the southern shore.

  • After breakfast near Issyk-Kul Lake, drive to Barskoon Gorge to visit its beautiful mountain waterfall surrounded by spruce forests. Continue the journey along the scenic Boom Gorge with panoramic views of the Chu River canyon before returning to Bishkek.
