Itinerary

  • Trek Start: Begin trekking towards Phakding, descending through lush forests and passing by picturesque villages along the Dudh Koshi River.nHighlights: Views of the Lukla Valley, prayer flags, and encounters with local Sherpa culture.

  • River Crossings: Cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, adorned with prayer flags.nAscend to Namche: Trek uphill to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region, with stunning views of Thamserku (6,608m) and Kongde Ri (6,187m).nCultural Exploration: Explore Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa town with markets, shops, and breathtaking views of Everest and surrounding peaks

  • Rest and Acclimate: Spend the day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar, taking short hikes to viewpoints like Everest View Hotel or Khumjung Village.nCultural Highlights: Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and learn about local traditions, mountaineering history, and the Sherpa way of life.

  • Forest Trek: Trek through rhododendron and pine forests, with occasional sightings of wildlife such as Himalayan thars and musk deer.nMonastery Visit: Arrive in Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery with panoramic views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.nSpiritual Experience: Attend a prayer ceremony at the monastery, experiencing Buddhist culture amidst serene mountain surroundings.

  • Final Ascent: Trek to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp, with panoramic views of the Everest massif.nBase Camp Trek: Hike to Everest Base Camp, experiencing the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding glaciers. Spend time at Base Camp amidst breathtaking views of the Khumbu Glacier and ice formations.nAchievement: Celebrate reaching Everest Base Camp, a culmination of your trekking adventure.

  • Sunrise Hike: Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse, among others.nReturn Journey: Descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast before retracing your steps to Tengboche.
