Itinerary
Upon arriving to the birthplace of musical legend Bob Marley, travelers will be invited to purchase and participate in some of the local activities before beginning the tour. Once the tour begins, guest will learn about tiny village in hills of St. Ann where Bob Marley was born, and fittingly, the place heu2019s now laid to rest. Although Bob Marley moved to Kingston at age 13 to live with his mother and to advance his music career, he would often return to Nine Miles to get away from the fast pace life of Kingston. Bob Marley wrote several of his hit songs when he was in St. Ann. The home features historical artifacts including the very bed Bob Marley slept in as a child and as an adult when he returned for many cooling visits. Guitars, awards, and photographs are on display along with the mausoleum, where his body lies along with his mother. Please remove your shoes before you enter as a sign of respect.
