Itinerary

• The Underground hideout of early christians, Kaymaklu0131 Underground City is totally 8-level Underground cave but first 4 levels are open for visits.nn* Underground Cities are not recommended for clastrophobics because of the small tunnels between the cave sections.

• The viewpoint of Pigeon valley (4km) to see the cave dovecots all along the slopes of it. The view of the valley, Uu00e7hisar town and the castle will in your sight.

• The biggest formation of Cappadocia, Uu00e7hisar Castle is the one you can see from any point of central Cappadocia but we stop on the spot where you can see how big it is.

• This is the site where you can see all chapters of erosion for the Cappadocia Fairy Chimneys. You can walk among them and go into the caves that used to be a hermitage for the followers of St Simon.

• A cave monastery complex including churches, chapels, grave chapels, dining rooms etc. Especially, for the well-preserved cave churches with frescoes of the New Testament, it's a must-see site in Cappadocia.

• Derbent Valley is the site where you can see the formations of Cappadocia in different shapes and forms, not the fairy chimneys but the camel-shaped stone or mushroom-like formations.

• Avanos is the only town having a river in Cappadocia, Red River.It's famous for its pottery workshops. Almost everybody in the town is working with the terra cota of the river passing through the town. nnYou can have a look at the workshops in caves on the outskirts of the town and afterwards you may have a walk in the town center and taste pottery kebab in the restaurants.

• The viewpoint of Gu00f6reme town would be a good beginning for the sightseeing in Cappadocia. Initially, you can have a look at the central Cappadocia and easily see the way it got formed.
