Discover the fascinating secrets of Kekovau2019s history on this unique adventure around the Sunken City. The ancient city of Dolchiste was flooded due to an earthquake in the 2nd century, and its resulting underwater ruins never fail to leave an impression.
Since this is a protected area, swimming is not permitted here, so what better way to explore the site than by cruising alongside the ruins on our glass-bottom boat, giving you the chance to capture unforgettable photos.
Our boat will drop anchor in Kaleku00f6y port (ancient Simena) for one hour, giving you time to visit this small authentic village thatu2019s home to castle ruins and a necropolis.nnEntrance fee: 1 euro
A hike up the hillside will give you magnificent views of the Kekova region. If youu2019d prefer to admire Simena Castle from down below, you can use your remaining time to take another dip in the gorgeous blue waters.

From the visitor reception area, you will find walking paths leading you past the Andriake ruins. The last point on the path is a 2nd-century ancient granary, which has been converted into the Museum of Lycian Civilizations. Here you will find artefacts from nearby Lycian cities which have survived the years, and tell you more about the ancient history of the region.
Our tour continues with the Santa Claus Museum in Demre town centre. Originally built in 520 A.D., this interesting archeological building started its operation as a church, built in memory of St. Nicholas of Myra, a 4th-century patron saint.
Here you can explore the remains of this former church, taking yourself back in time to when the ancient city of Myra still existed.
Your chance to discover Demreu2019s most famous archeological site! A true step back in history as you observe some of Myrau2019s most significant ancient ruins dating as far back as the 5th century B.C.
There is plenty of time to explore the two highlights of this stop: a Roman-style theatre (the largest in Lycia!) and eerie rock-cut tombs carved into the cliffs above.
We hope that you enjoy all the unique and fascinating sights of the boat and land tour. We finish off the day by bringing you back to the wonderful town of Kalkan, where you can continue with your memorable holiday in Turkey.
