Itinerary

  • Take a walk on the Waterfront with its outdoor cafes and watch sampans plying the Sarawak River ferrying passengers from one side of the river to the other.

  • The Sarawak State Museum is the oldest museum in Borneo. The museum houses an exceptional ethnographic collection, some good natural history displays and a section on the oil industry in Sarawak. (Museum is still closed until further notice)

  • View only. The Astana is a palace in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, on the north bank of the Sarawak River, opposite the Kuching Waterfront. It is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, the governor of Sarawak.

  • Tua Pek Kong Temple is a Chinese temple situated near the waterfront of Kuching. It is the oldest temple in the city and formed a part of the Kuching Heritage Trail.

  • View only. Fort Margherita is an old fort constructed in 1879 by Charles Brooke, Rajah of Sarawak situated in Kuching. The fort is an important landmark and monument in Sarawak's history which goes back to the Brooke Dynasty.
