  • After meeting your private chauffer and car at the hotel lobby in Ahmedabad, set a drive for three and half hours to reach Patan and visit Rani ki Vav, a 11th century Step well which is a UNESCO world heritage site.nnThe stepwell was built in 1063 by Rani (Queen) Udayamati of the Chaulukya Dynasty to commemorate her husband, Bhimdev I. Archeologists Henry Cousens and James Burgess visited it in 1890s when it was completely buried under silt and only the shaft and few pillars were visible. The stepwell was rediscovered in 1940s, and the Archeological Survey of India restored it in 1980s. The stepwell has been listed as one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites since 2014.

  • Drive an hour and half to reach Modhera and visit 11th century Sun temple. The temple was constructed in such a way that during every equinox, the first sunrays would fall on a diamond placed on the Sun Godu2019s head. The temple was dedicated to the solar deity Surya. The Sabha Mandap (assembly hall) stands on 52 pillars that were designed to depict the 52 weeks of the year.
