Your journey for up to 6 begins with a two-hour boat ride through Sitka Sound’s pristine waters, immersing you in nature from our heated vessel to encounter whales, otters & other wildlife.
Upon reaching downtown Sitka, the adventure transitions to a scenic two-hour land exploration. A personally guided tour in our mini-vans, traversing Sitka’s landscapes, visiting local trails, waterfalls, and estuaries, and a glimpse of the Sitka road system end to end.
As a highlight, your expert guide leads you through the Fortress of the Bears, witnessing the majesty of these creatures up close. Our carefully timed trips avoid the busiest crowds, ensuring a perfect experience.
Finish your tour in downtown Sitka, exploring shops and attractions on your own or enjoying your meal picnic style at the picturesque harbor or our cafe.

Itinerary
We provide a specialized experience for our guests, taking them personally through the Fortress and serving as their personal guide. We have appointment times reserved for our guests to avoid busy times and large busses and to enhance the experience.
One of our stops on the way is a stop at Whale park for a scenic walk through the boardwalk and overlook into the scenic Sitka Sound where Whales can often be seen heading to Silver Bay.
Thimbleberry Lake trail and waterfall. Our expert guide will take you on a journey through the enchanting Tongass National Forest along the Thimbleberry trail hike. On this small journey we will wind through the forest, look down from the top of the waterfall and continue up to Thimbleberry lake where we will stop for photos with the most beautiful backdrop. The hiking trail is graded and not difficult to manage for even inexperienced hikers.
Silver Bay overlook is a majestic view of the beauty of a favorite place for Sitka residents. Surrounded by high mountain peaks the silver glistening of the water in the bay where it gets it's name is truly a sight to behold. Stay on the lookout for whales that can often be seen as they travel through the area.
