Sanmachi Suji, the beautifully preserved old town lined with traditional merchant houses, sake breweries, and local specialty shops.

Takayama Jinya, Japan’s only remaining Edo-period government office.

Hida-Takayama Miyagawa Morning Market, one of Japan’s most famous morning markets, where you can browse fresh local produce and regional specialties.
