Overview
The underground caves are one of the most amazing visits to take on Terceira Island. Itinerary
The first stop of the tour will be at a secret place called Lagoa das Patas. In this place it is possible to visit the stream that originates from Serra de Sta Bu00e1rbara, visit the Lagoon and interact with animals such as ducks and some birds. It is a leisure area full of life and nature!
Here we will visit the famous Gruta Natal and Lagoa do Negro. At this stop, you have the opportunity to walk through lava tunnels made by mother nature and see Lagoa do Negro up close.
Furnas do Enxofre is made up of an area that comprises several outlets of aggressive volcanic gases at different temperatures, some quite high. It has a small pedestrian trail that allows you to observe the sulfur smoke up close.
