• Day 1 u2013 Tour of Ohrid and SkopjenTour of Ohrid and Lake OhridnnAccording to UNESCO, the town of Ohrid is one of the oldest human settlements in Europe. Lying on the shores of Lake Ohrid, one of the worldu2019s oldest and deepest lakes, the city has for centuries been a crossroads of cultures, traditions, and civilizations. Often referred to as the u201cJerusalem of the Balkansu201d, Ohrid played a crucial role in the spread of Slavic Orthodoxy. At its peak in the 11th century, it was said to have 365 churchesu2014one for each day of the year.nnOur tour of Ohrid will have two main parts, beginning with the Old City and Samuilu2019s Fortress, which offers breathtaking views over the lake. Descending from the fortress, weu2019ll reach the picturesque Kaneo Bay, one of Ohridu2019s most photographed locations. The first-ever postcard from Ohrid featured the stunning Church of St. John at Kaneo, perched dramatically on the cliffs above the lake.nnThe tour concludes in the lower part of the city, where two parts of Ohridu2014and two religionsu2014meet, symbolizing centuries of coexistence and tolerance.nnCity Tour of SkopjennAfter exploring Ohrid, weu2019ll travel to the heart of North Macedoniau2014its capital, Skopje. Known as the u201cCity of Statues,u201d Skopje resembles a living monument to its rich past.nnThe Vardar River and its bridges beautifully divideu2014and at the same time uniteu2014the two faces of the city. On one side, youu2019ll find modern Skopje, rebuilt after the devastating 1963 earthquake, and on the other, the charming Old Bazaar, filled with history and life.nnOur city tour begins with the main square and its many statues and monuments, including a visit to the House of Mother Teresa, dedicated to the cityu2019s most famous native. Weu2019ll continue across the historic bridges, into the Old Bazaar, where friendly vendors offer traditional crafts and local products. The tour culminates with a visit to Skopje Fortress, offering panoramic views of the city.nnTo round off the experience, weu2019ll explore two of the cityu2019s most symbolic religious landmarks: the Church of St. Clement of Ohrid and the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, both standing as testaments to Skopjeu2019s enduring spirit of multicultural harmony.nnDay 2 u2013 Tour of Pristina and PrizrennCity Tour of PristinannOur journey continues to Pristina, the vibrant capital of Kosovo. Inhabited since the Stone Age and linked to the Vinu010da culture, Pristina is a city where ancient history meets modern energy.nnWe begin with a visit to the National Library of Kosovo, a striking architectural masterpiece blending Byzantine, Ottoman, and Serbian influencesu2014a true reflection of the cityu2019s diverse heritage. Since 1982, it has housed more than 2 million historical and literary works.nnNext, weu2019ll explore the city center, visiting the iconic Newborn Monument, symbolizing Kosovou2019s independence, and the impressive Cathedral of Mother Teresa. The cityu2019s Islamic heritage is also prominent, with mosques dating back to the 14th century. Weu2019ll visit the Old Town and the u00c7arshia Mosque, built in 1321 and the oldest in Pristina.nnCity Tour of PrizrennnAfter Pristina, weu2019ll head to Prizren, often called the Cultural Capital of Kosovo. Nestled along both sides of the Bistrica River, beneath the Prizren Fortress, the city is a living museum of Ottoman, Byzantine, and Albanian history.nnOur first stop is the House of the Prizren League, where the Albanian National League of 1878 was formedu2014marking a key moment in the nationu2019s path toward independence. Inside, the Ethnographic Museum showcases traditional Albanian life and culture.nnWeu2019ll then explore the charming Stone Bridge of Love and the Traditional Bazaar of Prizren, centered around the beautiful Sinan Pasha Mosque. The cobbled streets of the old city are lined with artisan shops, spice vendors, and cafu00e9s serving local specialties.nnTo conclude the day, weu2019ll enjoy a traditional lunch, sampling some of Prizrenu2019s most beloved dishesu2014an authentic taste of Kosovou2019s rich culinary tradition.
