Overview

Kapama Private Game Reserve is located in the heart of the safari hub of South Africa, adjacent to the Greater Kruger Park and close to the main tourist attractions in Hoedspruit. Kapama River Lodge is the largest safari lodge in the 13 000-hectare protected wilderness reserve
and is ideally suited for families, groups of friends and younger couples.
Kapama is a fenced private game reserve between the Blyde River Valley and Kruger National Park and is located adjacent to the Greater Kruger. The Kapama and Klaserie rivers cut through the reserve, which in turn draws an abundance of animals and birds to their lush banks, making Kapama the perfect destination for people with a love of wildlife and photography.

Itinerary

  • Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport. The route to Kapama Private Game Reserve in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment, and through the scenic Lowveld region. Arrive at Kapama mid-day, in time for a light lunch. Freshen up and relax before itu2019s time to depart on a late afternoon game drive in the reserve.

  • Wake up early for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session at River Lodge Spa. Depart late afternoon after High Tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve.

  • Rise and shine early to enjoy a delightful morning ritual of hot beverages and rusks before embarking on a thrilling 3-hour sunrise safari adventure in the captivating Kapama. Upon your return to the lodge, savor a leisurely late breakfast and then spend the remainder of the day either unwinding by the pool or indulging in a rejuvenating spa experience at River Lodge Spa.
