  • Your wilderness adventure begins with a comfortable 07:00 shuttle transfer from OR Tambo International Airport, arriving at Rafiki Bush Lodge in Hoedspruit by midday where a delicious lunch awaits at 12:30. After checking into your accommodation at 14:00, prepare for your first wildlife encounter - a thrilling 3-hour sunset drive through the exclusive 38,000-hectare Blue Canyon Reserve, where expert guides will help you spot rhinos, lions and cheetahs in their natural habitat. As the African sky transforms into golden hues, pause for sundowner drinks amidst the bushveld before returning to the lodge at 18:30 for a hearty, home-cooked dinner served in the lodge's warm and welcoming atmosphere, complete with captivating stories of the day's sightings.

  • Your wilderness immersion begins at dawn with a 05:00 departure for Kruger's legendary Satara and Orpen regions - celebrated as the park's premier Big 5 territory, particularly famous for its abundant lion prides. Spend the day exploring in specialized open safari vehicles (with bottled water provided), tracking elephants traversing golden savannas, leopards draped over marula trees, and buffalo herds moving through the grasslands. Between thrilling wildlife encounters, your expert guide will share fascinating ecological insights about this UNESCO-protected wilderness. As the African sun sets, return to Rafiki Bush Lodge to savor a flavorful dinner before retiring to your stylish room, filled with memories of an electrifying day in one of the world's greatest wildlife sanctuaries.

The route includes stops at local towns to experience the area's natural beauty. Guests may choose another full-day Kruger safari instead (must be requested at booking). Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodgeu2014swim in the pool or take in the bushveld scenery from your patio. For a final wildlife experience, add a 3-hour sunrise safari (additional R1250) to see the bush come alive. After breakfast, take the shuttle to OR Tambo International Airport, arriving between 5:15 PM and 6:30 PM.
