Ocho Rios

This tour includes an escape to two, lesser-known spots near Ocho Rios that will allow you to relax in exotic ways. Firewater Pond is found at the end of a winding, rutted road leading up to a secluded grotto. The pond is said to have healing properties due to the high concentration of minerals. But it’s the methane that seeps up into the water from the ground below that gives the pond its name.

The second stop, Bamboo Beach, offers loungers set up right at the ocean’s edge, where the water will lap at your toes. Walk into the crystal-clear turquoise water, and chances are, you’ll see a few tiger-striped fish darting just beneath the surface. The temperature of the water? Like bath water, set to suit you.
