• Legend says that the first word Noah pronounced as he exited the ark was u201cYerevatsu201d u2013 translated as u201cit is seenu201d. This refers to the land he supposedly saw after the huge flood, which was later changed to u201cYerevanu201d. You can find information on the history of city in the Yerevan History Museum, established in 1931. There are more than 87,000 cultural values in the museum telling about the city from ancient times to our days.

• First, you will visit the handmade carpet factory u201cMegeryanu201d, where you will get acquainted with the culture of carpet weaving, which occupies a special place in the Armenian cultural system. In traditional Armenia carpet weaving has been developing since ancient times. During the excursion, visitors will take part in a master class of carpet weaving that will allow them to get acquainted with the traditional Armenian culture with all of its charm.

• Tsitsernakaberd is the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. Armenians from all over the world visit this memorial to honor their ancestors.nnAt the heart of the memorial, the Eternal Flame honors those who lost their lives during the genocide. It serves as a symbol of remembrance and a commitment to ensuring that such atrocities are never forgotten or repeated.

• The Parajanov Museum is dedicated to the works and legacy of the renowned Armenian film director Sergei Parajanov, who is celebrated for his innovative cinematic style and artistic vision. nnThe museum showcases not only his films but also a vast collection of his artwork, including collages, paintings, and photographs.
