• Dambullau2019s cave temples are a series of beautifully decorated and adorned caverns of varying sizes. Murals cover almost every inch of the undulating caverns, which are home to dozens of statues of the Buddha and his disciples, and of various kings involved in the siteu2019s creation.

• The UNESCO World Heritage site of Sigiriya is probably Sri Lankau2019s most important attraction. A massive ancient stone fortress set atop a mountainous rock in the heartlands of Central Sri Lanka, the Lions Rock (also known as the Lion Rock or Sigiriya)is an unmissable part of any visit to this beautiful island.

• Pidurangala Rock, located adjacent to Sigiriya, provides epic views of the surrounding area, a historic cave complex of its own, a tenth of the crowds, and the most incredible view overlooking the famous Sigiriya rock

• The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a world-renowned place of worship, where the left Canine tooth of Gautama Buddha is enshrined.

• The temple on the hill of Bahirawakanda, called the Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya, is most well-known to tourists for its giant Buddha statue, which can be seen from almost any point in the city of Kandy. Built in 1972, the statue shows Lord Buddha seated in the Nirvana pose, which is the position associated with his first Enlightenment. Reaching a height of more than 25 metres, it is one of the tallest statues of Buddha in Sri Lanka.

• Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. In 2016, the garden was visited by 1.2 million locals and 400,000 foreign visitors.It is near the Mahaweli River (The longest river in Sri Lanka). It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.

• Ambuluwawa Tower is a landmark situated on the outskirts of Gampola Town in Sri Lanka. Famous for its magnificent panoramic views, Ambuluwawa Tower has become an essential stop for those exploring the central region of Sri Lanka

• Ramboda Falls, located in the picturesque central highlands of Sri Lanka, near the town of Ramboda, is one of the island's tallest and most majestic waterfalls. Situated along the Pussellawa area of the Kandy District, this waterfall is a significant and striking natural feature that draws visitors from around the world.
