En route to Dambulla, you'll visit the Pinnawala Elephant Rehabilitation Centre, created to protect and care for wild elephants found wandering in Sri Lanka's forests. Here, you'll have the chance to feed them and give them a bath in the nearby river.nnUpon arriving at Sigiriya, you'll enjoy a cultural village tour, exploring the beautiful countryside. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the unique local culture and lifestyle of the Sri Lankan people. The tour starts with a Tuk Tuk ride, followed by a catamaran boat journey across the lake, ending at a farmeru2019s house where you'll join a Sri Lankan curry cooking demonstration and savor authentic countryside cuisine. Day 02 starts with an early wake-up call as we lace up our hiking shoes, grab our cameras, and set out to conquer the magnificent Sigiriya Rock (Fee NOT Included). Explore the ancient wall paintings, the Sanskrit-inscribed mirror wall, and the imposing stone lion paws guarding the path to the summit. The panoramic views from the top offer a glimpse into the past as you immerse yourself in the remnants of this ancient civilization.nnLater in the afternoon, you can choose to embark on an additional safari in Minneriya National Park (Entrance Fee NOT Included), where majestic elephants roam freely. Note: this safari is optional as we have arranged a safari at Yala National Park. After breakfast, you will be heading towards Galle, a city well known for its Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site). It is the intersection where classic Dutch and British architecture meets a tropical setting, creating a vivid atmosphere of beauty.nnNext experience an amazing boat ride in u201cMaduu201d river through the mangroves (red water trees). Along the Madu river on the boat you will arrive to Fish farm and if interested get to try Sri Lankan fish therapy(Entrance Fee NOT Included).nnThereafter, youu2019ll visit a Turtle Hatchery Centre where baby turtles learn to take their first swim and injured adults are rehabilitated back into the ocean. nnSpend the evening on your own while enjoying the awesome sunsetting atmosphere on the beach.nnOvernight stay in Bentota.
Following breakfast, we'll head to Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka, renowned for its captivating history dating back to the fifth century. Once a pivotal port city in the East-West Sea Trade during ancient times, Colombo has evolved into a vibrant modern metropolis with a distinctive ambiance. Its lively streets, diverse restaurants, and contemporary shopping centers draw crowds of both locals and visitors, contributing to its dynamic atmosphere. nnUpon arrival at Colombo, you have the opportunity to visit all the highlighted places in the city such as Red Mosque, Gangarama temple, Independent square and so on.nnThereafter, proceed to the airport in time for your return flight or we drop you back to your hotel in Colombo or Negombo.
