Itinerary

• We will meet you and welcome you in the Airport and then drive straight to the Udawalawe national park for your first stay in Sri Lanka. We're using highways until to the udawalawe to give you quick relac after the long flight journey!

• Udawalawe is undoubtedly the best place in Sri Lanka to see wild Asian Elephants throughout the year: there are about 500 elephants in the park and they often roam in herds of up to 100. Udawalawe National Park is unique in terms of consistency in numbers of elephants roaming the park: it has no a seasonal variation in herds of elephants. The best hours to visit the park are in the mornings and evenings. Late evening also affords the photographic opportunities in the backdrop of loveliest sunsets.nnUdawalawe National Park is one of the best places to see Raptors in Sri Lanka and afford excellent opportunities for photography. Endemic birds include the Sri Lankan junglefowl, Sri Lanka spurfowl, Sri Lanka green pigeon, Sri Lanka grey hornbill, Sri Lanka woodshrike and Sri Lanka swallow.

• The beautiful, 1000-year-old, rock-cut Buddha figures of Buduruwagala are the region's biggest attraction. The gigantic standing Buddha (at 15m, it is the tallest on the island) here still bears traces of its original stuccoed robe, and a long streak of orange suggests it was once brightly painted. It's surrounded by smaller carved figures. This remote site is located 9km south of Wellawaya, accessed by a scenic side road.nThe tallest Buddha statue in the world was the Bamiyan Buddha statues in Afghanistan until the destruction of this ancient monument by the Taliban in March 2001. The Buduruwagala Buddha Statue is now considered the tallest in the world.nnThe centre statue is flanked by two statues which each about 40 foot in height. These two again flanked by two figures, one female and the other male.

• The Ravana Falls are located in the misty mountains of Ella, Sri Lanka along the road. The water gushes down a height of 25 meters fallen from an oval concave rock. Ravana Falls is a 3-tier cascading waterfall, creating rock pools along its way down. During the wet season the Ravana Falls takes the form of a drooping areca flower, but its wide size is reduced dramatically during the dry season. Although it is always worth it to check this waterfall when youu2019re Ella as itu2019s one of the most easiest accessible waterfalls in Sri Lanka.

• Morning after the breakfast, we can start to do 3 to 4 hours trekking to the famous ella rock to see nice scenery around the Ella area.nas we're doing this trekking from the another way from common route, this is not a harder walk to do and also you can enjoy the walk with almost without the tourists.

• The Nine Arch Bridge, also known as the u2018Bridge in the Skyu2019 was constructed by connecting two bog mountains when constructing the Badulla u2013 Colombo railway. This bridge is 300 feet in length, 25 feet in width and 80-100 feet in height. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The Bridge can be reached by 500m walking from the main road.

• The train trip from Ella to Nanu Oya in Sri Lanka, or the other way around, is considered to be one of the most beautiful train trips in the world. nThis train ride is 04 hours long and takes you through stunning landscapes of green and lush tea plantations and mountain views. The train trip between Ella to Nanu oya is one of the highlights of Sri Lanka. So you can get Sri Lanka's Train Journey Experience in the highlands of the country with exploring the tea plantations arounds the valleys.

• Gregory Lake is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nuwara Eliya. Originally a huge swamp area, this man-made lake was constructed in 1873 under the government of Sir William Gregory and was used as a place for relaxation and recreation during the British rule. There are a number of interesting colonial buildings in the area left over from this era.nnToday, a plethora of activities and visitor facilities have been introduced around Gregory Lake. Thereu2019s the opportunity for walking, bike riding, and horse riding, while on the lake itself, there are a number of operators offering boat rides and various watersports activities. Those who wish to get out and enjoy the lake independently can even hire a distinctive two-seater swan boat.nAfter we reached to Nuwara eliya from the train station, we can do this activity.

• Afte the Lunch, we can explore Nuwara eliya city by walk.nwe can visit to Local markets and also to the Fruit market. even we can visit to Post office which is the Iconic place of nuwara eliya.

• En route to the picturesque city of Nuwara Eliya and at an elevation of 5,000 feet, stands the famed Labookellie Estate Tea Factory, renowned for producing some of Ceylonu2019s finest Teas and the estate itself, established nearly 150 years ago, is perhaps the second oldest tea plantation in the Island.nnVisitors having taken time in observing the manufacturing process of tea, need only to stroll a short distance, to enter one of the most desired locations in the hill country that being the u201cDAMRO LABOOKELLIE TEA LOUNGEu201d. It overlooks breathtaking views of tea gardens in all shades of green that carpet the slopes of surrounding hills & valleys and those observant could also spot within fields the gentle movement of tea pluckers, nimbly harvesting the tender two leaves & bud.nHere you can get complete Guided tea factory tour which you can learn the tea process of Sri Lanka!

• Rivers, as they flow over uneven ground or down mountains, often split into tributaries or form waterfalls. Sometimes two tributaries of the same river may form twin waterfalls very close to each other as the water spills down cliffs and rocks. However, it is quite uncommon for the tributaries to combine after forming the waterfalls making a Y shape.nnThis unique and beautiful sight can be seen at the Pussellawa area of Nuwara Eliya, at the Ramboda Pass. The Ramboda Falls in Sri Lanka or Ramboda Ella or Puna Ella as these falls are called is created from Puna Oya, a tributary of Kothmale Oya. It makes a twin with Dunsinane Falls which is created by Pundalu Oya, also a tributary of Kothmale River, and combines at the base to form a Y shape.nSo we can do small walking down to the waterfall to get better view!

• Watch a Kandyan cultural show and be awed by the spectacular dance, acrobatics, costumes and music. Held in Kandy town, this cultural show depicts various forms of Kandyan dancing which was once native to the area but has now spread to different regions of the island. Originated from a dance performed by Indian shamans who came to the island, Kandyan dancing plays an important role in Sri Lankan culture and is a much-anticipated event during perahera processions. During the show, you will see several dances which depict the graceful movements of birds and animals, which trace their origins back to the ancient ritual known as the Kohomba Kapkariya, as well as energetic acrobatic performances where the men perform a series of leaping pirouettes and stunts such as plate-spinning and the dramatic u2018fire walku2019 which ends the show.nEvening we can participate to do this activity once we reached to the Kandy!

• The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) is in the center of the cityand was originally built by the Kandyan Kings between 1687 and 1707, in order to house and honor the sacred tooth relic. u2018Maligawau2019 (Palace) literally translates to palace, and the temple is part of the palace complex. The entire complex is over three centuries old at least and has seen many a kingu2019s rise and fall. The tooth relic temple enshrines relics of what is believed to be the actual teeth of Lord Buddha in well secured golden casket. After Lord Buddha was cremated, his four canine teeth were taken from the ashes. These teeth are regarded as the holiest relics of Buddhism. Itu2019s the fourth tooth, the tooth relic of the Kalinga, that is today enshrined at the Sri Dalada Maligawa.nAfter the the Kandy dance show, we're walking to this main Temple to participate for evening pooja!

• Morning after the breakfast we're driving to the place where we can get good knowledge about Sri lankan Precious stone with visiting their Museum. Sri lanka is the one of the world famous Island specially for the Blue Sapphires!

• Enjoy the Sri Lankau2019s world renowned spices at their source. Visit a spice garden, where smells of cinnamons, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age old industry of spice production, which attracted many a European and Asian merchants to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka. nThere we can learn all about sri lankan Spices!

• Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses. The latter include Vishnu and the Ganesha. The murals cover an area of 2,100 square metres (23,000 sq ft). Depictions on the walls of the caves include the temptation by the demon Mara, and Buddha's first sermon.nSo here we can explore the main cave which is UNESCO World Heritage.

• Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress and palace built by King Kashyapa during the reign of 473 u2013 495 which is standing majestically 660 feet straight up.nThe word Sigiriya or the Sinhagiri means the Lionu2019s Rock where you have to climb up 1200 steps before you reach the Lion Rock Fortress on top of Sigiriya. There are several platforms that break up the steps and allow for a little break if you need it. Today Sigiriya rock fortress is one of the most famous Archeological Treasure and UNESCO named Sigiriya rock as a World Heritage in 1982 under the name u201cAncient City of Sigiriya Sri Lankau201d. nMorning after the breakfast we're starting to explore Sri lanka's most famous tourists site of Sigiriya Fortress.

• Ritigala monastery where Pansakulikas monks dwelled has no stupas, no image houses, or temples. The long meditational pathway which branches out to the buildings while climbing up the mountain brings about tranquility in the jungle setting. The architecture herein is in line with all other forest monasteries of Pansakulikas: certain mysterious features unique in Sri Lankan monastic architecture; long paved paths often with roundabouts in them; large stone-lined and stepped reservoirs; and unique double platforms.nSo here we can do one of the best nature walking at evening with enjoying the scenery!

• Polonnaruwa Kingdom or the Ancient city of Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka for three centuries between the 11th to 13th century after the destruction of Anuradhapura Kingdom in 993. It is located in north central province of Sri Lanka. Due to its archeological prominence and the ancient technological superiority UNESCO declared Polonnaruwa as a World Heritage in 1982 under the name of Ancient City of Polonnaruwa.nHere we're visiting 8 major historical sites within the ancient city!

• Sri Lankau2019s reservoir building technology was at its peak during the mid Anuradhapura Kingdom era to Polonnaruwa Kingdom Era ( 1017-1236) and most of the largest reservoirs in the country was built during this period. The Parakrama Samudraya, is the the largest, constructed with a 14 kilometer dam encompassing 5 reservoirs within it was built by King Parakramabahu the Great during the 12th century. But some other gigantic tanks such as Minneriya Wewa and Kaudulla Wewa are some of the earlier work belong to early as 3rd Century. Though not as large as the giants, Kanthale Wewa lies on the way to Trincomalee and has been not short of attention from the colonial times.

• Pigeon Island National Park consists of two small islands off the east coast north of Trincomalee . The island gets its name from Blue Rock Pigeon, a native endangered bird who lives within the rocks in these islands. The islands were declared a sanctuary in 1963 for the purpose of protecting these birds. In 2003 this area was upgraded to the status of a National Park and the boundaries were extended to include coral reef around them. The islands are situated about 1 km off the Nilaveli coast in Trincomalee District.nThis Pigeon Island National Park has one of the best remaining coral reefs with high live coral cover in the country and is an ideal location for scuba diving and snorkeling. nMorning after the breakfast we can visit to the island and enjoy with the beach and snorkeling!

• Thirukoneswaram, or the Holy Koneswaram Temple, is a Hindu temple in Thirukonamalai (Trincomalee) on the east coast of Sri Lanka. The temple lies on a high rocky promontory surrounded on three sides by the sea. It bears a history of over three millennia with its records indicating its roots in 1580 BC. This, still beautiful, historical monument is what remains of what once was a sprawling temple city equal to the ancient city of Madurai, India.

• We can explore the trincomalee city by walking and driving through the area and we can experience the different culture of the people compare with the other cities where we visited!

• On the way to the negombo, we're driving through the ancient city of Anuradhapura to see main sites of this Kingdom. nAnuradhapura is the first ever kingdom of sri lanka and place where the monarchy system established in sri lanka.nWe just driving through the main sites and if you are more interesting to discover more there, we can do site by site visit than the driving!

• One of the best beaches in Negombo is Browns Beach. It is open 24 hours so you can go for an early morning stroll to watch the sunrise or take a romantic evening walk at sunset. Browns Beach in Negombo is also an amazing place if you are in the mood for a midnight swim. It is popular among tourists and locals alike, and it is easy to see why. You can have fun on this awesome beach with loads of exciting activities like kite surfing, sailing, windsurfing and more. If you want to take a break from the sand and surf, you can explore the many stores and little shops nearby and find little treasures to take back home as gifts and souvenirs.

• Last day of the tour!nIf we have more time on last day, we can organize the activities to do such as Hamilton canal boat ride, Muthurajawela Marsh visit by Boat, Negombo city tour etc.nBefore 3 hours of the departure, we have to be at the airport!nEnd of our Service!!!nSafe Journey back to the Motherland...
