Itinerary

  • Fantastic mountain bike routes for medium level bikers. We start the tour from the Bulgarian capital Sofia, climb the quiet corner of Vitosha mountain and descend to Vladaya.

  • Great part of our route. There is not much of a climbing (pushing) and we are going out to the water intake reservoir.

  • Great part of our route with 10 kilometers of wonderful forest path to the village of Kladnitsa.

  • We continue to Studena Dam and after that there is an asphalted road to the village of Bosnek. Very interesting part here is that we ride along the river Struma and we dig moderately to Chuiptlovo. This is our first day which you are going to enjoy a lot with our professional mountain bike guide. We spend the night in Bosnek or in a nearby village.

  • Great part of our route. After breakfast we start with a descent to Yarlovo. Amazing wide meadows and views of the Rila mountains.

  • We continue to Zheleznitsa which is a superb part of the itinerary which you are going to fully enjoy.

  • Another interesting part of the route is in the Bistritsa area. A mix of everything - meadows and mountains. Truly fascinating.

  • The monastery is on our way, it's free to enter. Superb sight for a short relaxing stop.

  • We are in the vicinity of the Bulgarian capital in the outskirts of the mountain. Interesting landscape mixed with exploring people's lifestyles.

  • Our final part of the itinerary is spectacular. Bankya is the very high end of a living quarter of Sofia with wonderful houses mixed with mountain landscape.nnThe second day is easier and for moderately prepared people it can be made in 5-6 hours, for the first it is good to have 7-8 hours due to the larger displacement and the more difficult terrain. The route is surmountable for intermediate cyclists and passes through settlements easily accessible for logistics and assistance.nSuperb second day which you are going to love. Overnight in Bankya.

  • We start after breakfast with a walk in the field of Bankya, mountain which is a different route from the closing stage yesterday. Truly spectacular and enjoyable.

  • We continue biking on rural roads to Bozhurishte which will fascinate with the rural landscape and lifestyles of the locals.

  • Similar landscapes and lifestyles through Gurmazovo village rural roads. Enchanting experience in Bulgaria.

  • Klisura monastery with another great part of the itinerary on which we enjoy a short stop. Beautiful mountain biking before and after the monastery.

  • Our final stage for this superb 3-day private mountain biking tour. The route can end here or on wheels to pass through the center of Bankya.nnThatu2019s the real Bulgaria! You shall meet amazing people and characters in the villages typical for this region of the country.
