Overview

No two tours with Evergreen Escapes are the same! Our naturalist guides craft itineraries that reflect the best of what the National Park has to offer that day. Please note that the itinerary outlined is a SAMPLE of potential destinations that could be included in the tour.

Join our naturalist guides as we dive deep into Olympic National Park’s highlights on this all-inclusive day tour. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site remarkable for its ecological diversity. Visit turquoise lakes like Lake Crescent or Quinault and explore the fern-filled forests or trek through the giant trees to hidden waterfalls. Experience Washington’s marine ecosystems with a visit the shoreline. We tailor the day based on what’s best for the season, weather and group!

Our all-inclusive small-group day trip is limited to 10 travelers. We bring a local, organic lunch to eat outside when it’s nice! We also bring coffee, tea, snacks, water, and other cold beverages for the day. Don’t worry about a thing.

What To Expect

1

Take an iconic ferry boat from downtown Seattle, across Puget Sound, to Bainbridge Island on the way toward Olympic National Park.

2

Travel across the Hood Canal floating bridge.

3

A scenic drive from the ferry terminal toward Olympic National Park.

4

Depending on the weather, we may visit the Elwha River ecosystem - home to the largest dam removal project on Planet Earth!

5

There isn't a gate to pass through when you enter Olympic National Park. Instead, you suddenly notice the trees are bigger, the moss is greener, and you wouldn't be surprised if Sasquatch ambled out of the forest as you pass by. Encompassing nearly 1 million miles, Olympic National Park is another world.

6

A peaceful glacial lake surrounded by towering old growth forest, Lake Crescent looks like something out of a Tolkien book.

7

Peaceful nature walk to a beautiful waterfall hidden among giant old trees.

8

Depending on the weather, we may visit the North Coast of the Olympic Peninsula for a bit of tidepooling and photography.

9

When conditions are right, we'll drive up to Hurricane Ridge to experience the sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains, Salish Sea, and even all the way across to Victoria and Vancouver Island. In summer, we'll travel up to wander along the trails through the subalpine meadows and try to spot deer and marmots among the wildflowers. In winter, (road closure and weather dependent) we'll trek along the ridge on snowshoes and experience how beautiful the change of seasons can be.

10

We'll board the ferry once again from Bainbridge Island. As we come across the Sound, the sunset lights up the Seattle Skyline to welcome you back to the city.

11

We'll drop you off back where we met you in the morning.
