• The Apartheid Museum is the world's only museum about apartheid. The museum is seen as a beacon of hope.It shows the world how South Africans overcame the inequality of the past to build a country in which all people enjoy the same rights.

• FNB named after one of the major banks in South Africa,also known as Soccer City and the Calabash,is a association football and Rugby union stadium. The 2010 World Cup final took place here.

• Mandela House located at number 8115 at the corner of Vilakazi and Ngakane Street same street as Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu House

• Hector Pieterson Museum is named after one of the first casualties of the march of Soweto on 16 June 1976; when police were ordered to shoot at a crowd of demonstrating students.
