Overview

1-hour drive from Falmouth takes you through the city of Montego Bay and into the hills of the community of Wiltshire, for a 1-hour guided tour and bird feeding at the Rockland Bird Sanctuary. A tour guide will meet and escort you to a gazabo, have you seated and given a small bottle of sugary liquid with a small hole in the top cover of the bottle.

You will be instructed how to position your finger for the Hummingbirds to sit on it and how to hold the bottle for the birds to drink. While the birds come to feed, he will tell you the different species and give you information on them. You will get information on other birds flying through and hopping about.

You can take in the panoramic view of the city of Montego Bay from up high. After about 45-minutes, you will take a walking tour of the property to see other birds, different herbs and beautiful plants.
Entrance fee is included. There is an optional 1-hour shopping experience on Montego Bay’s Hip Strip for duty-free shopping.

Itinerary

  • Tour begins with a hotel pickup from Falmouth for a scheduled drive to Montego Bay, then up into the mountains to Rockland's Bird Sanctuary for a 1-hour guided tour and feeding the Hummingbirds. Enjoy the cool, fresh air in the gazebo as you bottle feed the hummingbirds and watch other different species of birds feeding on the ground and in trees, as your guide gives you names and other information about them. A 10-15 minutes' walk of the property to see more birds, plants, herbs and other flora and fauna, along with the panoramic view of the city of Montego Bay in the backdrop from up high, will surely entice you.nYour tour comes to an end after walking back to the gazebo and returning your feeding bottle. Entrance fee is included. There is an optional 1-hour duty free shopping experience on Montego Bay's Hip Strip.
